About the event
First we shall visit the tulip gardens at Hatton World near Warwick. These are part of a large complex with all sorts of activities (as well as the tulip fields!) and plenty of places for eating and drinking, including a stall selling Dutch pancakes and the Tulip Coffee House. For our second visit of the day we are planning to visit the National Herb Collection, not far from the M40 near Banbury, on the way home. The entry there is free, which keeps the cost of the trip down, and there is plenty to see and do here. www.herbcentre.co.uk.
There are three nature trails, six display gardens, a garden centre and shop, and a bistro where we can stop for afternoon tea, after 2.30 as they are still on lunch service till then.
