Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by a member

Whenever possible, Kennington Garden Club will refund fees paid by a Kennington Garden Club member for any Garden Club event if the member then decides to withdraw for an unavoidable reason, such as illness.
However, if the Club has incurred costs which are not otherwise recoverable, for example for the purchase of entry tickets or the member’s share of the cost of coach hire, it may not be possible to repay some or all of the fee paid.

Cancellation by the Club Committee

Under normal circumstances, if the Club Committee has to cancel an event, for example because the minimum number of participants has not been reached by the deadline for registration, all fees paid by members will be returned to them.
Exceptional circumstances, such as an extreme weather event or public emergency: In such circumstances the Club Committee may be forced to cancel an event because a third party, e.g. coach company or garden, is not able to provide the services contracted for. In such a case the Club will aim to refund members fully, but the extent of this may be affected by the amount and manner in which the Club itself is compensated by the third party.
